Workforce Training Funds

Massachusetts

HELM’s course offerings are approved for funding from the Massachusetts’ Workforce Training Program (WTP). This means that Massachusetts-based employers can get reimbursement for training costs up to $15,000 total per company, per year.

  • 100% reimbursement rate for organizations with up to 50 MA employees

  • 50% reimbursement rate for organizations with 51 to 100 MA employees

Important to note

  • Employers must pay HELM tuition in full at the time of registration. They will receive reimbursement after the employee completes the course.

  • The Grant Application must be submitted at least 21 days before the course start date

  • The Application for Reimbursement must be submitted within 30 days of the last class

  • Attendance at all sessions is required for reimbursement

  • The application is very quick and simple once you have a Certificate of Good Standing. (See step 3 below.)

The following courses are approved through WTP:

To apply

To complete the grant application, you will need the following:

  • Your organization's legal name (and d.b.a. if applicable).

  • Your organization's Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).

  • A Certificate of Good Standing from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, issued within the last six months. It can take a couple of days to receive the online copy.

  • Course Information from the Express Directory for all courses. (Also listed below)

  • Course Name and Instructor (HELM Construction Solutions)

  • Cost per person

  • # of people you plan to enroll for each course

  • Current number of Massachusetts employees in your organization (full-time & part-time).

  • Contact information of an individual in your organization authorized to sign a contract to accept a grant.

  • Course start date

  • Complete registration and pay for the course on HELM’s website

  • Attend every class (required for reimbursement). Have HELM presenters complete your attendance form.

  • Apply for reimbursement within 30 days of the last class.
