Lead Carpenter Training (4 weeks)

What: HELM’s Lead Carpenter Training helps current and aspiring leads build their management and leadership skills. In this 4-session online course, we explore what it means to be a lead carpenter:  the job description, how to set a project up for success, and how to lead a team. We’ll also provide a portfolio of sample documents and templates to support your process.

Who: This course is designed for lead carpenters or site supervisors who are new to their role or are looking to improve their internal systems.

Webinar: Pre-Construction

The gold standard for a good pre-construction process is that no one is caught by surprise throughout. Surprises during pre-construction—typically having to do with budget or schedule, sometimes having to do with permitting or other hurdles—risk derailing projects or canceling them altogether, often resulting in expensive damage control or bad feelings all around (or both). This webinar will offer key strategies and practices to reduce the chances for deal-breaking surprises during pre-con and maximize the chances that the construction phase will be set up for success.
