Supporting Minority and Women Business Enterprises in Massachusetts
HELM is excited to announce a new partnership with NESEA, the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, to support Minority and Women Business Enterprises in the clean energy sector with funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC). This new program, called BuildingEnergy Access, will combine professional services from HELM (training, consulting, and professional coaching) with participation in a peer network cohort (BE Bottom Lines) and NESEA programs in Massachusetts over a three-year period, at no cost to participants.
NESEA is currently accepting applications for the first cohort which will start in January 2024 and will focus on businesses in Massachusetts owned by women and underrepresented gender identities. The second cohort of BIPOC-owned businesses will launch in January 2025. Participating companies must either currently work in, or aspire to work in, the clean energy/decarbonization sector. This can include high-performance construction, architecture and design, specialty trades, or renewable energy businesses.
