Lead Carpenter Training (4 weeks)

What: HELM’s Lead Carpenter Training helps current and aspiring leads build their management and leadership skills. In this 4-session online course, we explore what it means to be a lead carpenter:  the job description, how to set a project up for success, and how to lead a team. We’ll also provide a portfolio of sample documents and templates to support your process.

Who: This course is designed for lead carpenters or site supervisors who are new to their role or are looking to improve their internal systems.

Why: Successful residential construction projects require on-site management skills, including team management, scheduling updates, clear documentation, and communication with the construction team and project owner. Many people who become lead carpenters have not been taught these management skills. Developing these skills, along with well-defined roles and responsibilities, can create a more resilient construction company.
